The Altwasser Gardens

Description Hours

The Altwasser, which literally means "old water", is located on a former dead branch of the Kreuzrhein. This 6-hectare park was created in 2007 and links the Rhine and wild forest with the city centre. A pleasant space, planted with various trees and plants, where water - which gave its name to the place - is present, such is the spirit of this place. A playground welcomes the youngest. Since 2013, Les Jardins de l'Altwasser has been a member of the Club des Parcs et Jardins de caractère d'Alsace.
