Wasselonne

The town of Wasselonne lies in a natural setting of orchards and hills in a privileged situation in the foothills of the Vosges in direct proximity to the Alsace Wine Trail. As a consequence of such a situation, it boasts a wide variety of landscapes; arable fields, vines, orchards, grassland and forests and is the starting point for numerous walks and excursions in the lower Vosges forest following the Club Vosgien’s signposted paths. In addition, the town has a rich history which can be appreciated through its heritage treasures: the surviving remnants of the castle (the Round Tower and the Square Tower, the latter open to visitors during the tourist season), the Silbermann organ in the Protestant church and numerous half-timbered houses, some of which have door lintels adorned with insignia representing local crafts and trades. In Wasselonne you will find all key shops including bakers, butchers, supermarkets and more
