The zoological and botanical gardens: a park containing 1300 animals from 200 different species

At the zoological and botanical gardens in Mulhouse you can see almost 1300 animals from 200 different species, certain of which are today threatened with extinction. The rarest species such as the Siberian tiger or the Madagascan lemur can be admired alongside more commonplace animals including parrots, pythons, wolves and seals. In addition to the zoo, the park also contains remarkable local and exotic botanical collections. Various flower exhibitions are held according to the time of year, including those for irises (the largest collection in north-eastern France), dahlias, peonies or hydrangeas, etc.
