The boat journey between Mulhouse and Strasbourg is a truly outstanding experience. The total journey covers some 120 km, enabling you to visit the region's three main towns: Mulhouse, Colmar and Strasbourg. On the way, the various stop-offs along the waterways provide an opportunity to discover Alsace's unique natural heritage. A large number of inns and restaurants await you along the water's edge, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and a break.
From Mulhouse to Neuf-Brisach
To reach Colmar, your journey will take you along the edge of the Hardt forest. Large numbers of cyclists and walkers enjoy a trip along the canal banks. You will arrive at Kembs after passing through an incredible lock designed by Le Corbusier. Continuing on after Neuf-Brisach, you can even head into Colmar thanks to a branch canal.
From Neuf-Brisach to Strasbourg
Between Neuf-Brisach and Strasbourg you can discover the outstanding beauty of the villages and landscapes to be admired along the canal route. In Strasbourg, don't forget to pay a visit to the dam and lock designed by Vauban, to the two listed steam tugs and to the Naviscope Alsace Museum.
