The "Nave of Toys" in Soultz

Relive your childhood at the toy museum

The "Nave of Toys" is the brainchild of Joëlle and Jean-Richard Haeusser. Visitors here can enjoy a nostalgic journey into the fabulous world of their own childhood. Housed in a former commandery of the Sovereign Order of Malta, it is home to a huge collection of vintage and contemporary toys. Wax and rag dolls, clockwork toys, teddy bears and pressed sheet metal toys can be admired alongside wooden figures, models, lead soldiers and toy cars. A number of shows, stories and temporary exhibitions further add to the magical atmosphere of this museum where adults can temporarily become children once again. In June, the Nave of Toys organises its "Children's Day", in addition to its "five senses month" in October and its Christmas celebrations for young children and adults alike in December. Finally, every Wednesday children are welcomed here to celebrate their birthday surrounded by their friends. In addition to these events, all year round the museum's youngest visitors can have fun here thanks to the museum's treasure hunts and its two play areas.
