The Four à Chaux

This is one of the largest of the various structures comprising the Maginot Line. Severely bombed by the stukas, the fortress stood up to the assault well, and it was only 6 days after the signature of the Armistice that the garrison surrendered.

Schoenenbourg

Completed in 1935, the Schoenenbourg fort was considered in its day to be indestructible. This was amply demonstrated in 1940, when a hailstorm of 3000 bombs and shells rained down on the site.

The Hatten Bunker

The Hatten bunker once formed part of the Maginot Line. Today, tourists visiting the site can discover a huge collection of military equipment from the 1940s through to the present day including aircraft, tanks and helicopters.
